Abstract

The emergence of new types of media, there will always be a debate about whether the old media will be market neutral and the ability to deliver content to the public. It is inevitable that the era of digital disruption is now afflicting almost the entire industrial world. Likewise, the media industry is one of the industries that are considered the most affected by the digital era. Indosiar as a television station that has been playing for a long time in the media industry needs to improve itself to face increasingly fierce competition in this digital era. Do not let it go lazy to keep up with the times, because competitors in this disruption era are competitors that are not visible. This research was conducted to determine the readiness of indosiar in the face of media convergence and multiplatform era.

Abstrak

Kemunculan jenis media yang baru, akan selalu muncul perdebatan tentang apakah media yang lama akan kehilanagn pasar dan kemampuan dalam menyampaikan konten kepada khalayak. Tidak dapat dihindari bahwasannya era disrupsi digital kini tengah menimpa hampir seluruh dunia industri. Begitu pula industri media menjadi salah satu industri yang dianggap paling merasakan dampak era digital ini. Indosiar selaku stasiun televisi yang sudah bermain lama di industri media perlu berbenah diri untuk menghadapi persaingan yang semakin ketat di era digital ini. Jangan sampai berleha-leha tidak mau mengikuti perkembangan zaman, sebab pesaing-pesaing di era disrupsi ini merupakan pesaing-pesaing yang tidak terlihat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kesiapan indosiar dalam menghadapi konvergensi media dan era multiplatform.
